Zachary Donaldson  is a classical guitarist, lute player, and teacher based in the Bay Area. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from San Francisco State University. His repertoire includes pieces by Sor, Tárrega, Francesco da Milano, and John Dowland. He teaches at the California Conservatory of Music and Starland School of Music and offers private lessons. He studied guitar with Marc Teicholz of the San Francisco Conservatory and CSU East Bay, Larry Ferrara of SF State, Ron Galen of Laney College, and Michael Goldberg of UC Berkeley. He also also taken lute lessons with Nigel North, Ronn McFarlane, and Jon Mendle. In 2020 he completed an academic year abroad where he took classes in the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and studied with Diego Castro, Nicolás Emilfork, the professor of graduate guitar studies of the University of Chile.
