Christine Meals, violin
After years of modern violin freelance work, Christine Meals began exploring the world of Baroque performance at the behest of several colleagues. What she found was a beautifully rich and complex repertoire with an amazing community of musicians which rekindled her love of playing the violin.
A Bay Area native, Christine graduated from California State University, Hayward with a B.A. in violin performance and is an Aspen Music Festival alum. She held the position of Principal Second Violin with Vallejo Symphony for 20 years and has played with California Bach Society, Chora Nova and Marin Baroque and many other outstanding orchestras, chamber groups and theater companies throughout the Bay Area.
