A letter from the Music Director:
It seems like another world than we imagined a few months ago, when we were in the last days of preparations for our "Ecstasy of the Chaconne" concert. Music was sent out, program notes were nearly finished, players were practicing and about to meet for rehearsal, dancers were putting their finishing touches on their costumes. We agonized over the decision of whether to hold the concert, then the decision to cancel was taken out of our hands when it was made by higher powers.
We feel fortunate that we were near the end of our season, and have been well supported by our patrons. The spring and summer months go on much as usual for Sacramento Baroque Soloists as an organization, although as individuals we have been highly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many of you have reached out to us to donate your remaining tickets, or to make an additional donation. We are very grateful for your support. We are doing what we can to extend that support to our players, first by funding individual videos which we will be posting on our You-Tube channel over the next month or so, and also we are creating a new Season Highlights recording to sell, to be released by fall 2020, with proceeds benefitting our performers.
We have published our performer videos here on this site, and also you may want to subscribe to our You-Tube channel or like us on Facebook to continue to connect until we can see each other again.
We wish you all strength and health, and many creative and peaceful days.
